Thank you for your support during the last few months as we have navigated the turbulent waters of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In particular, we would like to thank you for your support of, and engagement with, our schools’ Distance Learning Programs. We are aware that the pandemic has had more than just a health or economic impact on our communities – it has also placed emotional and wellbeing strains on our families.
We are in this together, a phrase many of you would have heard in recent times. Our teachers and support staff have done an incredible job delivering what we believe are some of the best Distance Learning Programs being offered at this time. However, we know we would not have been able to achieve this without the partnership and support of the families within each of our school communities. We therefore believe it’s important to acknowledge the efforts our families have been making to help us continue to educate our students – your children – at this challenging time.
Galatians 6:2 tells us to 'Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.' And later in verse 10, 'Therefore as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.'
Being in partnership means carrying each other’s burdens when required and as a Christian organisation we seek to do good whenever there is an opportunity.
With this in mind, the Christian Schools Tasmania Board has resolved to provide an immediate fee rebate of 20 per cent for Term 2 Tuition Fees for all families.
This offer in no way diminishes or devalues the distance education we have been providing since the end of Term 1. Our teaching and support staff have been working harder than ever to ensure our Distance Learning Programs meet the Australian Curriculum requirements and provide all our students with the opportunity to continue their learning, albeit in a modified environment. What we want to do is acknowledge families who have had the additional burden of helping their children with distance learning at home while at the same time juggling being a parent and for many, working from home.
Should you require more information about this fee rebate, please contact the Christian Schools Tasmania Central Office on (03) 6224 8300.
